Samsung’s 2026 Gaming Monitors Set to Feature 6K Resolution, 3D Support, and 1,040Hz Refresh Rate

Samsung is making waves in the gaming monitor scene with its 2026 lineup, highlighted by the Odyssey 3D G90XH, the first monitor to offer a 6K display with “glasses-free 3D” technology. This impressive 32-inch IPS panel features real-time eye-tracking that dynamically adjusts depth and perspective based on your viewing angle. Plus, it boasts a rapid 165Hz refresh rate, which can be cranked up to an astonishing 330Hz in Dual Mode, switching to 3K resolution.

The 2026 Odyssey 3D builds on the foundation laid by last year’s CES reveal, which showcased a smaller 27-inch model with a lower 4K resolution. While other brands like Asus, Dell, and LG have introduced 6K monitors, none match the Odyssey’s immersive 3D effects or gaming-centric design. Currently, select titles such as Stellar Blade, Lies of P: Overture, and The First Berserker: Khazan are optimized for the Odyssey 3D, with additional support for its 3D features in games like Black Myth: Wukong, Hogwarts Legacy, Palworld, and Silent Hill 2.

Samsung is also introducing the Odyssey G6 G60H, touted as the “world’s first” 1,040Hz gaming monitor. This 27-inch display achieves its ultra-fast refresh rate at HD resolution, while still delivering impressive speeds of up to 600Hz at its native 1440p resolution. It’s compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync for smooth gameplay.

Additionally, three new Odyssey G8 monitors are on the way, including the 32-inch G80HS with a 6K resolution and refresh rates up to 165Hz (or 330Hz at 3K). There’s also a 27-inch 5K G80HF model that can hit speeds of 180Hz (or 360Hz at 1440p). Another variant features a 4K OLED display, offering refresh rates up to 240Hz, 300-nit brightness, and True Black 500 certification for richer blacks. All three models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync.

While Samsung has yet to announce pricing or release dates for these monitors, the Odyssey 3D is expected to carry a premium price tag, likely influenced by the $2,000 cost of Samsung’s existing 4K 3D screen.
