Top 10 Must-Watch Shows on Amazon Prime Video in 2025

Beyond the perk of free shipping, Prime Video stands out as one of the top benefits of an Amazon Prime subscription. This year, the streaming platform has rolled out some impressive new seasons for its flagship series like Reacher, Fallout, and Invincible, while also introducing exciting new shows and spinoffs to keep the content fresh.

Here’s a rundown of the standout shows and new seasons that hit Prime Video in 2025.

**Reacher (Season 3)**
Reacher continues to be a favorite on Prime Video, and the latest season is no exception. Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson), the drifter with a military background, finds himself in Maine, where he gets caught up in a DEA investigation. He goes undercover as a bodyguard for Zachary Beck’s (Anthony Michael Hall) son, who is entangled in some dubious dealings related to a rug import business.

**Fallout (Season 2)**
Video game adaptations are on the rise, and Fallout remains one of the best. The first season introduced us to a trio of post-apocalyptic heroes: vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell), conflicted Brotherhood of Steel knight Maximus (Aaron Moten), and a ghoul simply known as… the Ghoul (Walton Goggins). The second season expands the narrative, exploring more of the world while delving into its rich history.

**Hazbin Hotel (Season 2)**
When I first tuned into Hazbin Hotel, I had no idea what to expect, but the first season hooked me. The second season continues the musical journey with Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen) and her quirky friends as they attempt to revive their hotel after a heavenly attack nearly destroys it. However, peace is short-lived as three Vs in Hell’s entertainment industry scheme to tighten their grip on the underworld.

**Bosch: Legacy (Season 3)**
Bosch: Legacy, which premiered in 2022 as a continuation of the original Bosch series, returned for its third and final season in March. In this concluding chapter, Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) transitions to a private investigator while grappling with the fallout from the murder of his daughter’s kidnapper, Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman). Simultaneously, Bosch investigates the disappearance of the Gallagher family as Honey “Money” Chandler campaigns for the position of Los Angeles District Attorney.

**Ballard**
If you’re feeling the void left by Bosch: Legacy, Prime Video launched a spinoff series in July titled Ballard. Starring Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard, the head of the LAPD’s underfunded cold case division, the show follows her team as they revisit old homicide cases, uncovering layers of corruption within the police force.

**Invincible (Season 3)**
The third season of Invincible marks a significant evolution for our hero, Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), as he dons a new suit and embraces his role as Earth’s protector. Throughout the season, Grayson intensifies his training in preparation for confrontations with the formidable warriors of the Viltrum Empire, all while navigating the complex legacy of his father, Omni Man (J.K. Simmons).

**Butterfly**
Daniel Dae Kim stars as David Jung, a former spy who emerges from hiding to rescue his daughter, Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), who has become an assassin for a corrupt intelligence agency in South Korea called Caddis. With his wife and young child in tow, David is determined to pull Rebecca from Caddis’s grasp, but his past connections put his family in jeopardy.

**Gen V (Season 2)**
While we await the final season of The Boys, the spinoff Gen V has released its second season in September. Set after season 4 of The Boys, the series follows Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her friends as they navigate the newly militarized Godolkin University, a training ground for supes, in a world where Homelander’s influence is stronger than ever.

**Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX**
For fans of the original Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX on Prime Video is a must-see. Set in an alternate universe inspired by the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam, the story follows high school student Amate Yuzuriha (Thea Saccoliti/Tomoyo Kurosawa) as she becomes the pilot of the mobile suit prototype GQuuuuuuX, engaging in clan battles to protect her friend, a war refugee.

**The Girlfriend**
The Girlfriend is a binge-worthy six-episode series featuring Robin Wright as Laura, a wealthy mother who becomes overly protective of her son after meeting his charming new girlfriend, Cherry Laine (Olivia Cooke). As Laura’s obsession with uncovering Cherry’s true motives grows, it strains her relationship with her son and disrupts her family dynamics.
