LG unveils next-gen UltraGear evo gaming monitors featuring AI upscaling technology.

LG has just rolled out an exciting new lineup of gaming monitors ahead of CES. The UltraGear evo series features high-end displays that all share a stunning 5K resolution and advanced AI upscaling technology.

The flagship models in this new range include the 39GX950B, 27GM950B, and 52G930B, with the first digit indicating the screen size. The rest of the alphanumeric designations likely hold significance for tech enthusiasts.

The 39-inch GX9 boasts an ultrawide 21:9 5K2K dual-mode OLED display, capable of running at 165Hz at full resolution, or ramping up to 330Hz for those fast-paced gaming sessions at WFHD. The 27-inch GM9 utilizes “New” MiniLED technology, which aims to provide brighter visuals than OLED while minimizing the blooming effects often seen with MiniLEDs. Finally, the 52-inch G9 is a colossal curved monitor that offers a panoramic 12:9 view at 240Hz in its native 5K2K resolution.

The GM9 model is particularly noteworthy, as LG manufactures the panels for Apple’s Pro Display XDR, and there are rumors of a long-awaited update for that monitor coming soon.

All three of these impressive monitors will be showcased at CES next month, but details on pricing and availability are still under wraps.
