LG Unveils AI-Powered Karaoke Speaker That Eliminates Vocals for Ultimate Party Experience

LG is expanding its Xboom lineup with a new karaoke-centric party speaker, the Stage 501, developed in collaboration with Will.i.am. This speaker features an “AI Karaoke Master” that can remove or modify vocals from nearly any track, similar to the Soundcore Rave 3S. It also allows for pitch adjustments to make singing easier, and it doesn’t rely on karaoke-specific audio files for this functionality.

The Stage 501 retains the five-sided design of its predecessor but boasts enhanced dual woofers and full-range drivers for a richer audio experience. Its swappable 99Wh battery provides up to 25 hours of playback and delivers 160W of power, which can increase to 220W when plugged in.

Additionally, LG introduces the Xboom Blast, a slightly smaller speaker designed for outdoor use, featuring edge bumpers and dual handles for portability. It also includes a 99Wh battery, offering up to 35 hours of playback.

LG has also added two compact speakers to the mix: the Xboom Mini and Xboom Rock. The Mini offers up to 10 hours of playback and is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance, while the Rock matches that battery life and supports Bluetooth Auracast, enabling audio broadcasting across multiple speakers simultaneously.

All four speakers come equipped with AI-driven features that analyze audio and adjust EQ settings to enhance melody, rhythm, or vocals. They also utilize AI to modify built-in lighting in sync with the music. The Stage 501 and Blast incorporate “Space Calibration Pro” technology to optimize sound quality based on the surrounding environment.

Pricing details for these new speakers have yet to be announced, but LG plans to launch them later this year.
