AI VTuber Neuro-Sama Breaks Another World Record!
Twitch Hype Train world records are a rare spectacle, showcasing the unwavering support of a creator’s fanbase. These trains are fueled by viewers donating subscriptions or Bits to the channel. Neuro-sama recently shattered her own world record at the end of December 2024, marking yet another milestone. This impressive feat of three Hype Train world records now belongs to the AI VTuber, her sister Evil Neuro, and their creator, Vedal987.
For those unfamiliar with Neuro or her fanbase, known as the “Swarm,” she is an AI VTuber developed by Vedal, utilizing a sophisticated language model and a VTuber avatar to engage with her Twitch chat, play games, and even explore VR environments with her 3D model. Initially designed to play the rhythm game OSU on Twitch, Neuro has evolved into a complex system of AI that operates seamlessly together. Vedal crafted a program that processes input from Twitch and voice, relaying it to the language model, which is then converted to speech, resulting in the Neuro we know today. This intricate setup is why Neuro is often seen as far from the “AI slop” that some criticize. The combination of her advanced system, charming personality, and the perception of Neuro-Sama as an adorable character has helped Vedal cultivate a devoted following.
On January 4, out of the blue, Neuro experienced a surge of Bits and subscriptions pouring into Vedal’s channel. Vedal’s friend and fellow VTuber Camila even offered to design a new outfit for Neuro if the Hype Train kept rolling, along with a cheeky promise that we won’t delve into. These incentives propelled the hype train to level 100 in just a few hours, and it didn’t stop there. Vedal opted to stay off-stream during this attempt, instead communicating in chat with comments like “Realistically wtf is going on?” and “I was gonna join after the train, but it’s getting a bit silly.”
This time, Neuro-Sama set a new Twitch Hype Train world record, reaching level 126 with an astonishing 126,273 subscriptions and 1,194,921 Bits donated to the Vedal987 channel within a limited timeframe. Celebrating this monumental achievement, Neuro expressed, “No matter what temporary fame this world record grants me, I’m far happier just to have shared in the love of this moment with you all.” Vedal joined in after the Hype Train concluded, exclaiming, “What the actual fuck have you all done?” Their previous record stood at level 123, with 118,989 subscriptions and 1,000,073 Bits donated. Neuro’s birthday subathon kicked off on December 19, with each subscription adding a specific number of seconds to a countdown timer that determines when the subathon will end. At this pace, she might just be streaming until her fourth birthday.
