Sophie Turner Claims She’s the Sole Game of Thrones Actor Satisfied with Their Character’s Conclusion
Sophie Turner, known for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, expressed her satisfaction with her character’s conclusion, even though not all cast members felt the same way.
In a recent chat, she was asked about the possibility of returning to the Game of Thrones universe for one of the upcoming sequel projects. “Show me the money (laughs). I don’t know, I think it would be hard but also amazing to come back to it,” she replied.
While details on these projects remain vague, one sequel series titled Snow, which was meant to follow Jon Snow after the events of the eighth season, was previously canceled before it could air.
Turner shared, “I feel that I was very happy with the way Sansa ended her story in Game of Thrones, and no one else was really happy with their ending. I feel like I got a good one, and so I don’t know if I could revisit it.”
It’s understandable that other actors might feel differently about their character arcs. Sansa concluded her journey as the Queen of the North, gaining independence for her realm, while others faced less favorable fates.
She added, “Maybe it would be an utter joy, or maybe it would be trying to cling on to something that was magic back in the day that can’t be recreated. I would have to see a script.”
While Turner seems open to the idea of returning, her co-star Kit Harington appears less enthusiastic. When asked about voicing Jon Snow in an audiobook, he responded, “No, god no,” seemingly interpreting the question as a suggestion to reprise his role. “I don’t wanna go anywhere near it. I spent 10 years doing that. Thanks, I’m alright.”
On the horizon for Game of Thrones is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, set to premiere on HBO in the US on January 18 and on Sky/NOW TV in the UK on January 19. In the meantime, fans can explore what else is coming from Westeros.
