Razer Launches Computers Tailored for AI Developers
Razer is making a bold move into the AI space, but it’s not just about slapping an AI label on existing gear. While the company is rebranding its powerful Blade 18 laptop and Core X V2 eGPU enclosure as “AI dev hardware,” it’s also rolling out a new workstation specifically engineered for AI training, inference, and simulation tasks.
The Razer Forge AI dev workstation boasts a rack-ready design, allowing for easy configuration into dense cluster setups. It can accommodate up to four AMD or Nvidia graphics cards, features eight DDR5 slots, and is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper Pro processor. With support for a 2,000W power supply and dual 10GB Ethernet ports, it’s built for high-speed data transfers.
Pricing and availability details are still under wraps, as this will be a custom product requiring users to reach out to Razer’s sales team. This launch follows Nvidia’s introduction of its Digits personal AI supercomputer at CES last year, and it’s likely that more companies will jump on the AI bandwagon soon.
