Embark’s boss believes an Arc Raiders film or series could be exciting, but emphasizes the importance of doing it right: “We’ve had numerous companies express interest.”
Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund has revealed that there have been numerous offers for Arc Raiders adaptations in film and television, but none have met the right criteria.
“I can’t tell you how many companies have reached out to us wanting to make a TV series or movie out of this IP. So many,” Söderlund shared. “We’re open to it; it would be exciting, but it has to be done the right way. I genuinely hope we can make it happen because I believe the IP is well-suited for that kind of treatment.”
He also noted, “We don’t have anyone working on a TV or film adaptation yet.”
Since its launch in October 2025, Arc Raiders has garnered praise from both critics and players, with a review highlighting its “approachable” yet “palpably tense” and “incredibly dramatic” gameplay, earning it a solid 4.5 stars.
The extraction shooter has also achieved impressive sales, reaching an estimated 12 million copies sold, with peak active players exceeding 3 million on January 4. It’s no wonder that studios are eager to adapt this popular title for the screen, although Söderlund did not disclose specific names of interested parties.
While there may not be an Arc Raiders movie or TV show in the works just yet, there are plenty of other adaptations to dive into. For instance, Fallout season 2 is currently airing weekly on Prime Video, and the film Return to Silent Hill is set to hit theaters on January 26.
