Arc Raiders: Essential Tips for the Snap and Salvage Quest

If you’re diving into Stella Montis, the first post-launch map of Arc Raiders, you might be tackling the Snap and Salvage quest. This quest involves several steps, requiring you to locate various interaction points and gather specific loot. It can be a bit tricky to navigate on your own, so we’ve laid out a step-by-step guide to help you through it. Remember, you can complete each part of this quest over multiple runs, so there’s no rush to finish everything in one go. However, once you find the Magnetron and Flow Controller, you’ll need to extract with them, so it’s wise to bring an augment that has a couple of safe pockets to avoid losing these valuable items during your raid. Here’s how to complete Snap and Salvage in Arc Raiders.

**Where to find the rovers in the Sandbox and how to take a photo of them**
To snap a photo of the rovers in the Sandbox, head to the Sandbox POI located on the bottom layer of the map. This area is centrally located and relatively easy to access, but be cautious as it’s quite exposed. Move quickly and keep an eye out for other raiders. Once you reach the sandy lower area of the Sandbox, you’ll see the rovers clearly visible. Approach one to get a yellow prompt that allows you to take a photo. That’s one step down!

**Where to find the papers in the Security Checkpoint by the Lobby**
Next, make your way to the Security Checkpoint in the Lobby. This area is also exposed, with plenty of vantage points for other raiders, so proceed with caution and try to be friendly to avoid conflict. Look for a door on the eastern wall marked “Security: Restricted Access.” If it hasn’t been breached yet, you’ll need to do so—so be careful to ensure your safety before starting the process. Once inside, turn immediately right to find a reception desk where you can search for the papers.

**Where to get a Magnetron and Flow Controller**
Finding the Magnetron and Flow Controller won’t be as straightforward as the previous tasks. These items are random drops scattered throughout Stella Montis, so you’ll need to thoroughly check drawers, lockers, and breaches to collect them. The tooltip for both items indicates they’re most commonly found in Exodus locations, so focus your looting efforts in areas like the Assembly POI, which is known for Exodus loot. Loot everything you can, then extract and reset to try again if needed. We had decent luck finding these items during our initial runs, so hopefully, they have a good spawn rate for you as well. Just remember to stash them in a safe pocket in case things get dicey, and head back to Speranza at the nearest extraction point when you’re ready to leave. We’d hate to see all your hard work go to waste, raider.
