Check Out This Incredible Mario Kart World Speedrun!

This year’s first Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) charity livestream has unveiled a lesser-known aspect of Mario Kart World. The Free Roam mode allows players to explore the game’s expansive environment, and during the event, a speedrunner named Helix showcased how to transform it into a personal playground. Helix tackled the All ? Panels category, managing to activate every question mark block in under 30 minutes. Achieving this required a mix of skillful tricks, some fortunate moments, and strategic use of the game’s rewind feature. Helix demonstrated impressive knowledge of Mario Kart World’s layout, as many question marks are tricky to access without prior knowledge of their locations and the best routes for your character. For this run, Helix chose Para-Biddybud, leveraging his lightweight build and superior aerial control compared to other racers. Helix also noted that starting with a fresh save file is ideal, as Free Roam mode typically places players near their last completed course. Earlier in the week at AGDQ, Minecraft creator DThaiPome donned a Pac-Man costume to speedrun Pac-Man World 2 in about 30 minutes. AGDQ will run until Sunday, January 11, with proceeds benefiting The Prevent Cancer Foundation. Meanwhile, speculation among Nintendo fans suggests that news regarding Mario Kart World DLC may be on the horizon, although this has yet to be officially confirmed. Additionally, Nintendo has announced plans to phase out the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle.
