Arc Raiders: A Guide to the Dormant Barons Quest

Early in the Arc Raiders questline, you’ll be tasked with locating and looting a Baron Husk. While the Dormant Barons quest might sound intimidating—after all, big Arc can be quite menacing—rest assured that these husks are long gone, so you can loot them without fear. However, tracking down a Baron Husk might require a bit more effort than you’d expect—unless you check out the tips below. Here’s how to find and loot Baron Husks.

**Where to Find Baron Husks**
Baron Husks are large, destroyed Arc remnants scattered across various maps, but the best and safest place to search for them is Dam Battlegrounds. This is the first map you’ll encounter on your journey, and it features three Baron Husks you can loot. We’ve highlighted their locations on the map below.

**Baron Husk Locations on Dam Battlegrounds**
It’s advisable to target one of the Baron Husks on the left side of the map, as the one near the Breach is quite exposed and often monitored by a Sentinel turret. Better to play it safe! As you approach a Baron Husk, listen for a low roaring sound, which indicates it hasn’t been breached yet. Use any nearby destroyed legs to climb onto the round part of the husk, then interact with the breachable section in the center.

**Breach and Loot the Baron Husk**
Be cautious: once you finish breaching, the Baron Husk will ignite briefly. Make sure to jump back and wait for the flames to subside. After the fire has died down, you can climb back up and interact with the center of the husk to loot it.

Baron Husks typically yield Arc Alloy, Arc Powercells, and other Arc-related materials. For most players, looting these massive husks may not be worth the time or effort after completing the Dormant Barons quest, as these materials can be found more easily elsewhere. Baron Husks are just one of the many objectives you’ll tackle as you progress through the Arc Raiders questline.
