Indie Drug Dealing Sim Schedule 1 Plans Expansion with New Team Members by Year’s End

After capturing the hearts of gamers in 2025, the team behind Schedule 1 has exciting news: they’ve set up a new office and welcomed a new developer to the crew.

While Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has dominated the 2025 awards scene, it’s easy to overlook other standout titles from the year. Schedule 1, a drug-dealing simulator, not only ranked among the top games on Steam in terms of player count and sales but also earned the title of the most beloved game of the year based on user reviews, outshining contenders like Expedition 33, Hades 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Hollow Knight: Silksong.

In light of this success, Tyler’s Video Game Studio (TVGS) is expanding. In a post on the game’s Steam news page, Tyler shared, “I’m back to work, and have some exciting news – TVGS is now an actual game studio!”

The studio has established an office in Sydney, Australia, and has brought on a new developer named Rob. While Rob’s specific role is still under wraps, the team is also looking to recruit a 3D/technical artist. By the end of the year, the team is expected to grow to four members working on Schedule 1.

Tyler also announced that a new patch for Schedule 1 is set to roll out next week, focusing on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. However, players shouldn’t expect additional updates this month, as the team will be dedicating the rest of January to refining the codebase and onboarding Rob. Tyler assures that this effort will ultimately benefit the game, marking the final major refactoring phase and paving the way for future development and proper mod support.

Looking ahead, Tyler hinted at an upcoming update expected to be ready by late February, though he’s cautious about committing to a specific release date, stating, “we’ll only confirm a date once we’re confident we’ll hit it on time.”

Interestingly, the creator of Schedule 1 had a backup plan in case the game didn’t make it onto Steam, considering pivoting it to a farming game by removing all the drug-related content.
