Clair Obscur and Ghost of Yotei Top Nominations for 2026 DICE Awards

The nominees for the 29th annual DICE Awards have been revealed, and while Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been a standout this awards season, Ghost of Yōtei has matched Sandfall Interactive’s RPG for the highest number of nominations. Both titles are featured in eight categories, including Game of the Year. Arc Raiders and Dispatch follow closely with six nominations each, while Blue Prince rounds out the top contenders with five.

Despite being a fan favorite, especially among Steam users, Hollow Knight: Silksong only received one nomination at the DICE Awards for Adventure Game of the Year, despite being a five-time nominee at The Game Awards 2025.

In contrast to The Game Awards, which involve voting from critics and the public, the DICE Awards are determined by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, an industry organization similar to the Academy that oversees the Oscars. Interestingly, the AIAS often aligns with the choices made by The Game Awards jury, having agreed on Game of the Year in eight of the last eleven instances.

The DICE Awards ceremony is set for February 12 at 8 p.m. PST and will be livestreamed. Co-hosts Greg Miller from Kinda Funny Games and media personality Stella Chung will return to guide viewers through the event, which will celebrate 23 categories honoring the games that resonated with professional developers in 2025. While certain titles have clearly taken the spotlight, the nominees reflect a diverse range of genres, showcasing everything from Despeloto to Sword of the Sea to Split Fiction.
