Interestingly, the initial top 20 rookie ratings list didn’t feature any quarterbacks, with only one starting the season above a 70 overall. That honor went to first overall pick Cam Ward, who began his Titans journey with a rating of 72. Close behind were Jaxson Dart (New York Giants, 68), Tyler Slough (New Orleans Saints, 68), and Shedeur Sanders (Cleveland Browns, 67). Rookie running backs had a slightly better showing than their quarterback counterparts. Las Vegas halfback Ashton Jeanty stands out with a starting overall rating of 83, boasting impressive stats like 90 Speed, 91 Agility, and 91 Change of Direction. Following him in the race for this year’s top rusher are Omarion Hampton (San Diego Chargers, 77), TreVeyon Henderson (New England Patriots, 76), and Bhayshul Tuten (Jacksonville Jaguars, 76).
Travis Hunter is officially listed as a cornerback, but like in real life, Jaguars fans can also utilize him as a wide receiver or even in the new Madden 26 GAD position if they choose. He debuted with a formidable overall rating of 84. Panthers addition Tetairoa McMillan started the season as the highest-rated traditional receiver at 77, followed by Luther Burden III (Chicago Bears, 76), Matthew Golden (Green Bay Packers, 76), and Emeka Egbuka (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 75).
