Exploring the Fortnite x South Park: Born in Chaos Event

The highly anticipated Fortnite and South Park crossover has finally landed, bringing Butters into the fray during the Born in Chaos event. Players can dive into a wealth of content, including a free battle pass that allows everyone to earn a variety of South Park-themed cosmetics, alongside major gameplay updates featuring new items and a fresh point of interest (POI). The Born in Chaos event runs from January 9 to February 5, 2026, so gear up for all things South Park in Fortnite.

That’s right—the Born in Chaos Pass for this event is entirely free, meaning all players can jump in without spending any V-Bucks! You can find it under the Born in Chaos tab in the menu, where you’ll tackle South Park quests to unlock 13 themed cosmetic items, such as the Cheesy Poofs Rocketship Emote, the Terrance and Phillip Pickaxe, and the Backpack of CRED Back Bling. Complete all the quests, and you’ll earn the Imaginationland Airship Glider.

As you complete these South Park quests, you’ll earn Cred, which unlocks cosmetics in the Born in Chaos Pass. Finishing four quests in each Part will also reward you with a Memberberry, and collecting all six will grant you the Imaginationland Airship Glider.

The Born in Chaos quests include various challenges, with more on the way based on leaks and subject to change.

To celebrate the arrival of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Butters outfits in the Item Shop, you can now team up with the whole gang by jumping into the new Quints 5-person playlist, expanding your squad size. While this mode is initially designed for the crossover event, a Fortnite lead has hinted that it could become a permanent feature if it proves popular.

New gameplay items with a South Park twist have been introduced to shake up matches during this event. If you manage to grab the Stick of Truth, you’ll have a one-time chance to control the Storm’s direction for the first time ever. You can also use Cheesy Poofs to heal yourself and your teammates or deal damage to opponents, while carrying Kenny’s Respawn Token allows for automatic rebooting after elimination—though it’s a single-use item!

Cartman’s personal theme park, Cartmanland, has been added to the map as a new POI in the northwest corner of the island, inviting players to explore a variety of attractions. Discover a range of rideable thrills, including Chaos Blast, Voyage to the Center of the Planet, and Pi Pi’s Splash Town.
