Why the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case is Essential for Your Switch 2 Adventures | Review

Every time I dive into reviewing an all-in-one carrying case, I find myself noting that there’s not a ton of variety among them.

These Nintendo Switch 2 cases are generally built around the same concept: providing space for the handheld and all the necessary accessories, including the official dock, AC adapter, charging cable, and HDMI cable. What differentiates cases like the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case is the unique features the manufacturer has chosen to implement, and this one is definitely among my top picks from what I’ve tested.

Priced at $45.99 / £29.99, the JSAUX case comes with a plastic expandable handle, making it much easier to carry. The top section features foam inserts that allow you to swap out the Switch 2 for other handhelds, while the bottom compartments are removable, giving you the flexibility to organize your accessories as you wish. These thoughtful design choices have earned this case a spot as one of the best all-in-one options I’ve encountered. The only thing holding it back from a perfect 5-star rating is its rather plain all-black look.

Speaking of that design, it’s definitely my least favorite aspect of the case. The all-black color scheme isn’t surprising, as it’s a common theme for JSAUX products, like the EnergyFlow Joy-Con 2 charger I tested last year. However, the monotony can become a bit tiresome. Most all-in-one cases for the Switch 2 follow this trend, so it would be refreshing if brands like JSAUX introduced some vibrant color options.

Since this isn’t an officially licensed accessory, it’s likely that JSAUX couldn’t use the iconic neon red and blue colors associated with the gaming handheld. Still, an all-white version would have added some flair.

Beyond its all-black exterior and EVA & Water-Resistant build, this case is quite spacious, measuring 320mm x 210mm x 146mm, and consists of two zipped compartments. The upper section is designed for the handheld, while the larger bottom compartment is meant for the dock and any other accessories you choose to bring along. On the outside, you’ll find a sturdy plastic handle for easy transport and hooks for attaching a carrying strap, allowing you to carry it like a messenger bag if that’s your style.

Inside the upper compartment, there’s room for the handheld and two removable foam inserts to keep it secure. These inserts can be taken out if you want to store a different device, like the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X. However, as someone who primarily switches between the Switch 2 and the Steam Deck OLED, I didn’t have another device on hand to test that compatibility.

Instead of a fabric flap above the handheld for game storage, like in some other cases, JSAUX integrated the game storage into the bottom compartment. I was initially concerned that the heat from the back of the device might damage my physical games, but after weeks of testing, they all remained in perfect condition, which was a huge relief. If you share that concern, you can always use a separate game storage case in the bottom compartment.

The upper section is attached to the larger bottom compartment with a series of JSAUX-branded zippers, where you can stash the rest of your Switch 2 gear. It comes with six removable compartments, which is a nice touch since some all-in-one cases have these permanently fixed. This flexibility allows for more customization based on your needs.

The bottom area also features a small fabric mesh pouch along the inner edge. During my testing, I found it challenging to fit anything in there once I filled the compartments with my Switch 2 dock, cables, and controller add-ons, unless I wanted to risk damaging something. While it’s a nice addition, I couldn’t think of anything practical to store there, except maybe some flat amiibo cards.

While the case may not be the most stylish, especially when I was carrying it around during the holidays, it was incredibly convenient to travel with, which is why it remains one of my favorites.

The simple yet sturdy plastic handle made it easy to carry. Many cases opt for fabric straps that can buckle under the weight of the console and accessories, but this handle is robust enough to handle my entire setup. Plus, its expandable design made it comfortable to hold, which I appreciated as someone with joint pain.

What I really liked about this case was how much I could fit inside. I often take multiple Switch 2 accessories with me, especially when testing them for future reviews, and the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case handled it all with ease.

I was able to pack the Switch 2 dock, AC adapter, charging cable, HDMI cable, and extras like my Joy-Con racing wheel add-ons and STEALTH Twin Controller Grips for some Mario Kart action during the holidays. Even with all that bulk, everything arrived in perfect condition.

However, I’m not a fan of the fabric lining in the case and compartments, as it tends to attract dust and cat hair. This isn’t unique to this case; many handheld cases have similar materials that can be a magnet for pet dander. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s something to consider if you’re sensitive to allergens and prefer your gear to stay clean.

If you’re looking for a case to transport your entire Switch 2 setup and aren’t bothered by the all-black design, the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case is my top recommendation.

At $45.99, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but it has been discounted to $29.99 at some retailers, which feels reasonable for the features it offers. It not only provides a way to store your handheld and games but also allows you to detach the top section for everyday use, saving you from needing another case.

For those who, like me, enjoy bringing along extra accessories, there’s ample storage in the bottom compartment for more than just the essentials. You can fit everything from a spare Switch 2 Pro controller to Joy-Con wheels. Even with all that added bulk, the expandable plastic handle makes traveling a breeze, and my Switch 2 setup has remained safe inside. The only thing keeping it off our best Nintendo Switch 2 case list is its rather dull design. If JSAUX ever decides to release it in some fun colors, like pastel purple or pink, I’d definitely reconsider.

The JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case was my go-to accessory for over two weeks of testing, starting just before my holiday break. During that time, I transported my Nintendo handheld, dock, and cables to my in-laws’ house and back after the holidays.
