G2 Joins Forces with NORD Esports for Tier-2 League of Legends Tournament
Berlin-based esports organization G2 has teamed up with NORD Esports to create a new League of Legends team named G2 NORD.
The financial specifics of this partnership remain undisclosed.
This collaboration will see G2 NORD competing in the official DACH EMEA Regional League (ERL) Prime League. Additionally, insurance services firm LVM Versicherung will join as a founding partner for the team.
G2 aims to establish G2 NORD as the premier League of Legends team in Germany, aspiring to be a top contender in the EMEA Masters and nurturing high-potential players within G2’s competitive framework. The team is envisioned as a breeding ground for young talent, functioning as a “high-performance academy environment” to pave the way for aspiring professionals.
“From the very beginning, G2 has always had the ambition to build a truly global organization, one that captures the hearts and minds of fans all over the world,” stated Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2. “That journey has allowed us to grow beyond anything we imagined, but along the way, we may not always have given enough love to some of our closest fans, especially in Germany. With initiatives like Kings League Germany and now G2 NORD, we want to change that in a meaningful way. This project is about reconnecting, listening, and building something that German fans can truly call their own. We want to give them more G2 to cheer for, and to create moments and stories they can be proud of. Our hope is that through G2 NORD, even more fans in Germany will feel fully part of the G2ARMY. Los geht’s!”
For its inaugural season, G2 NORD will showcase the following roster:
More details about this exciting new venture will be shared in the coming days and weeks as the team gears up for its first competitive outing under the G2 banner.
