Pokemon Pokopia launches worldwide on the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5, 2026, and will be available as both a digital download and a game-key card release.
Currently, there is no demo for Pokemon Pokopia, nor has one been announced. However, with several months until release, that could change.
Keep in mind that the full Pokemon Pokopia game will not be available on the cartridge itself, as it is a game-key card release. This means you’ll need an internet connection to download the complete 10GB version of the game onto your Switch 2.
Each time you play, ensure the game-key card is inserted into your Switch 2.
As a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, Pokemon Pokopia won’t be playable on the older Switch models. However, it does support Game Share, allowing you to share the game with up to three other players, including those on both the Switch 2 and the original Switch family.
Prepare for your Pokemon Pokopia adventure with the best Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, including cases and microSD Express Cards for extra storage.
