Top Robot Vacuums Worth Your Investment
Robot vacuums have come a long way, evolving from basic cleaning tools to sophisticated home assistants that can vacuum, mop, and even clean themselves. With advancements in battery life and smart navigation, these devices are now more efficient than ever, making them a great addition to any household.
Having tested over 80 different models in my home over the past seven years, I’ve compiled a list of my top recommendations for those seeking a versatile robot vacuum that requires minimal user intervention. Whether you need a vacuum that excels at mopping, tackles pet hair, fits a budget, or is designed for smaller spaces, there’s a robot vacuum out there for you. From sprawling homes with multiple pets to cozy apartments, the right robot vacuum can meet your specific needs.
Best Robot Vacuum
Matic
– Multifunctional dock: No, charging only
– Mapping: Yes, camera-based
– AI-powered obstacle detection: Yes
– Suction power: 3,000Pa
– Remote check-in: No
– Brush style: Single rubber
– Mop style: Roller
– Mop washing: Yes
– Mop lift: Yes
– Edge cleaning: Yes, mop extension
– Works with: No smart home integrations
The Matic redefines what a robot vacuum can be, boasting impressive camera-based navigation and excellent obstacle avoidance. It rarely gets stuck and operates quietly, making it my top choice. While traditional disc-shaped vacuums often struggle with navigation, the Matic excels, ensuring it completes its tasks efficiently.
It kept my floors immaculate, with its robust rubber roller brush and suction system easily handling various messes. Its mopping capabilities effectively tackled spills and stains, although it may not match the cleaning power of some flagship models from other brands. Its height limits its ability to clean under low furniture, and it takes longer to finish cleaning since it vacuums first and then mops. However, it operates without Wi-Fi, storing all data locally, which is a significant advantage. Priced at $1,245, it’s on the higher end, but the absence of a bulky multifunction dock means less clutter in your living space.
