Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Trailer Unveils New Kaiju Titan X Alongside King Kong and Godzilla

A fresh trailer for season 2 of the streaming series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has dropped, diving into both the past and present to introduce a new kaiju known as Titan X, who appears to be an even greater threat than King Kong and Godzilla.

The trailer showcases father and son duo Kurt and Wyatt Russell, both portraying Army officer Lee Shaw across different time periods.

“Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch – and the world – hanging in the balance,” the official synopsis reveals. “This dramatic saga uncovers hidden secrets that bring our heroes (and villains) back to Kong’s Skull Island, along with a mysterious village where a legendary Titan emerges from the ocean. The echoes of the past create ripples in the present, complicating relationships between family, friends, and foes, all while a titan event looms on the horizon.”

Monarch is part of the expansive ‘Monsterverse,’ which chronicles the epic encounters of King Kong and Godzilla as they clash in urban landscapes, cause chaos, and occasionally team up against even more formidable foes.

The series follows Monarch, an organization focused on monitoring and tracking kaiju activity worldwide. In this new season, it appears they’ve opened a portal that could unleash even more menacing monsters, including the formidable Titan X, central to the upcoming storyline.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 is set to premiere on February 27.
