The Beloved Okami Art Book Returns to Shelves
Every game boasts its own visual identity, but few can match the stunning artistry of Okami. This 2006 action-adventure title from Capcom showcases a distinctive art style influenced by traditional Japanese Sumi-e ink paintings, seamlessly integrating brush strokes and calligraphy into its gameplay. If you’re keen to dive deeper into the game’s artistic vision, the Okami: Official Complete Works art book is back in stock on Amazon for $35.65, down from its original price of $40. This sought-after book has been out of print for nearly a year, making it a great time to grab a copy before it potentially sells out again.
Okami isn’t alone in the realm of Capcom’s art books; many of the company’s iconic franchises have also been celebrated through art collections. Titles like Mega Man, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter have all seen multiple art books released over the years. Recently, two notable Complete Works books were launched: one for Rival Schools and an updated edition for Marvel Vs Capcom. The Rival Schools: Complete Works compiles artwork from all three games in the series, featuring key art, character illustrations, development sketches, and unused concepts. Meanwhile, the 2025 Marvel Vs Capcom book adds an impressive 140 pages of new character designs, game covers, promotional art, and rare concept sketches.
