Nvidia’s latest app update introduces DLSS 4.5 and enhanced Control Panel options.
Nvidia is launching a fresh app update today that introduces the new DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Nvidia Surround settings. DLSS 4.5 features Nvidia’s second-generation Super Resolution transformer model, aimed at enhancing image quality and minimizing the artifacting issues seen in DLSS 4.
While DLSS 4.5 was previously accessible in the beta version of the Nvidia app earlier this month, this update makes the latest model available to all RTX users. The updated model has been trained on a broader dataset, promising to significantly enhance image clarity and stability when using DLSS Performance or Ultra Performance modes.
Additionally, DLSS 4.5 introduces new 6x Multi Frame Generation and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation modes specifically for RTX 50-series GPUs, although these features are set to launch in spring 2026.
The current Nvidia app update (version 11.0.6) also brings over all remaining Nvidia Surround settings from the older Control Panel, including bezel correction and hotkeys. Nvidia has been steadily integrating its Control Panel features into the Nvidia app over the last couple of years, aiming to unify the Control Panel and GeForce Experience into a single application.
You can grab the latest Nvidia app by allowing it to update automatically today or by manually downloading the update from Nvidia’s website. To enable DLSS 4.5, you’ll also need to have Nvidia’s latest Game Ready driver installed.
