Fujifilm Unveils New Instax Mini Printer with Enhanced Detail Features
Fujifilm is set to unveil a new Instax Mini smartphone printer that promises to deliver sharper details than its earlier models. The Instax Mini Link Plus boasts improved image processing capabilities compared to previous Instax printers and shares a sleek design with the recently announced Instax Mini Evo Cinema camera, which has also had its pricing revealed.
The Instax Mini Evo Cinema camera comes with a hefty price tag of $409.95, while the Mini Link Plus printer will retail for $169.95. Both the Mini Evo Cinema camera, the Mini Link Plus smartphone printer, and the updated Instax Mini Link smartphone app are expected to hit the US market in early February 2026.
One of the standout features of the Instax Mini Link Plus is its new “Design Print” mode, which emphasizes intricate details in the images it prints. This mode leverages the printer’s enhanced image processing to reproduce small text and patterns with clarity, making it ideal for printing detailed graphics or ensuring that signs and background text remain legible in photos.
Additionally, the printer offers a “Simple Print” mode for less detailed images and is compatible with the same Instax Mini film used by the $99 Instax Mini Link 3. While the Mini Link Plus is a more expensive option, it could be a worthwhile investment for creatives like graphic designers and photographers who want to capture finer details in their instant prints.
On the other hand, the Mini Evo Cinema camera not only takes photos but also allows for wireless printing from your phone. It can record video clips of up to 15 seconds and features 10 different vintage-style effects, including grainy, muted tones reminiscent of the 1930s and vibrant colors inspired by the 1980s, all adjustable via the built-in Gen Dial (known as the “Eras Dial” in the Japanese version).
