Fallout 4 modder transforms Todd Howard into a deadly “immortal snail” that can defeat players with just one touch: “Focus on Elder Scrolls 6!”

Visionary modder and YouTuber Blurb has taken it upon himself to redefine Todd Howard’s legacy. No longer just a Bethesda director, Howard is now immortalized as a snail in Fallout 4.

In a recent video titled “Fallout 4, but if Todd Catches You, You Die,” Blurb expresses his astonishment, exclaiming, “Ah!” and later, “Oh!” as he unveils a cardboard cutout of Howard, who famously quipped, “All of this just works,” during an E3 presentation a decade ago. Despite being made of cardboard, Todd inches toward Blurb, proving that even a mere touch from him can lead to instant death.

“Are we about to kiss?” Blurb quips just before Todd collides with his Vault Dweller, ending his life without a second thought. But it’s not entirely Todd’s fault; this behavior is simply part of his nature as a snail. He draws inspiration from an old Reddit experiment that poses the question: “You and a super intelligent snail both get 1 million dollars, and you both become immortal, however you die if the snail touches you. It always knows where you are and slowly crawls toward you. What’s your plan?”

Blurb’s approach involves reminding cardboard Todd of his roots. “Go back to making Elder Scrolls 6,” he urges. Yet, there’s no stopping an immortal snail like Todd Howard. Blurb meets his end in an explosion while Todd maintains his ever-present grin. It just works.

In a humorous twist, Fallout narrator and Hollywood icon Ron Perlman shared that he joined the RPG franchise for “$40 and a sandwich,” and was left wondering “why?” upon discovering there was more than one game.
