To join the competition, just chat with him; after paying a small entry fee of 500 Bells, you’ll have three minutes to catch as many fish as possible. When time’s up, return to C.J. to receive points based on your catch, which you can then trade for special Fishing Tourney items. You can participate as many times as you want until 6 PM.
