Arc Raiders Update Addresses Duplication Exploits and Geometry Damage Issues
A new update for Arc Raiders, version 1.12.0, is now live, introducing fixes for two major exploits and addressing various out-of-bounds issues on Stella Montis.
The patch notes released by the developers are brief but impactful. While some players expressed disappointment over the lack of additional changes, the updates seem to be a step in the right direction. Notably, two duplication exploits—one affecting items and the other ammo—have been resolved, which should help level the playing field for those playing fairly.
Additionally, the developers have tackled instances where players could damage others through geometry and have fixed several out-of-bounds locations on Stella Montis. This should reduce the chances of being shot from inaccessible areas, although some players are speculating that the phrasing in the notes hints that the issue might not be completely resolved yet.
Frustration remains among some players regarding other lingering issues, particularly the crafting bug that can cause crafting processes to reset unexpectedly, as well as certain trophies that are proving impossible to unlock, preventing completionists from achieving 100%.
“When will they fix the bugged trophies/achievements?” one player inquires. “For the love of God, tell me the crafting bug is fixed this week,” another adds.
Despite these concerns, many players are still optimistic about the developers’ progress. “They fixed the out-of-bounds issues. Not every patch is a game-changer, but they are addressing the problems that matter to the community at a solid pace,” one player noted. “They resolved two major issues last week and tackled another significant one this week. I don’t get the negativity,” another commented.
It seems the developers are also focusing on anti-cheat measures behind the scenes. Earlier this month, they announced plans to implement significant changes to their rulesets and deploy new detection mechanisms to identify and remove cheaters. This includes addressing the “out of map” glitch, indicating that they are actively working on these concerns.
The developers are also aware of the need for buffs to underperforming skills, acknowledging, “We know there are certain skills that players avoid… we’re not ignoring the current state of the game.”
