Transform Your Phone into a Portable Music Studio with Roland’s Go:Mixer Studio
Roland has unveiled the Go:Mixer Studio, a powerful audio mixer designed specifically for smartphones and tablets. While the Go:Mixer series has primarily catered to casual livestreamers and quick demos, the Go:Mixer Studio aims to elevate the experience with enhanced features, including additional inputs and outputs, built-in effects, and support for up to 24-bit / 192kHz audio quality. An accompanying iOS app enables users to capture video alongside multitrack audio seamlessly.
This mixer is particularly geared towards streaming and social video content. It can be conveniently mounted on a mic stand, ensuring easy access during live sessions. Users can directly manipulate all settings via the screen and knobs, but there’s also a desktop application for Windows and MacOS that allows for remote control of the mixer.
Connectivity options are robust, featuring two XLR inputs with phantom power, a 1/4-inch instrument input for guitars or bass, stereo 1/4-inch line-in jacks, and an aux input. Additionally, it includes 1/8-inch TRS MIDI in and out, two headphone outputs, and stereo line outs for studio monitors. Each audio input is equipped with its own dedicated EQ and compressor, while the XLR and instrument inputs also offer reverb effects.
The Go:Mixer Studio is now available for $299.
