YouTube TV is set to introduce personalized multiview options and channel bundles in the near future.

YouTube TV is gearing up to roll out two significant updates that will let you watch multiple non-sports channels at the same time and choose from 10 new paid plans tailored to various interests, including sports, entertainment, and news. In a recent letter to users, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan mentioned that these enhancements will be available “soon.”

Over the past few years, YouTube TV has been gradually enhancing its multiview feature. It first introduced multiview for sports broadcasts in 2023 and later expanded it to include news, weather, and business programming, albeit with a limited selection of channels. Recently, the platform began testing a customizable multiview experience with a select group of popular channels. Now, Mohan has confirmed that multiview will be “fully customizable,” allowing you to enjoy your favorite football game alongside entirely different content.

Additionally, Mohan noted that YouTube TV will introduce a range of plans “designed to give subscribers more control.” These genre-specific plans were first hinted at in December and are expected to provide access to a more focused selection of channels that align with your viewing preferences, rather than requiring a subscription to the entire YouTube TV lineup. For instance, the YouTube TV Sports plan will feature access to “major broadcasters” and sports networks like FS1, NBC Sports Network, ESPN networks, and ESPN’s streaming service.

While specific pricing details and exact launch dates are still under wraps, YouTube indicated that these packages are set to debut “early next year.”
