Catch the Xbox Developer Direct: First Looks at Fable and Forza Horizon 6 Gameplay

Xbox is set to showcase Fable, Forza Horizon 6, and more during the Xbox Developer Direct later today. Here’s everything you need to know about when, where, and how to catch it live.

Earlier this month, Xbox announced the return of its annual January Developer Direct for 2026. This event promises an in-depth look at Fable and Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games, along with gameplay footage of Game Freak’s new action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, which was revealed last year at the Xbox Showcase.

While not officially confirmed, a potential release date for Forza Horizon 6 was hinted at in Horizon 5 last week, so we might get some exciting news on that front. Historically, January showcases have delivered surprises—2023 featured the unexpected announcement and launch of Hi-Fi Rush, while the previous year brought us the reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4 and the surprise drop of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. It remains to be seen if Xbox will keep that trend alive today.

You can tune into the Xbox Developer Direct January 2026 stream on YouTube this Thursday, January 22, at 10 AM PT, 1 PM ET, or 6 PM GMT.

The show will also be available on Twitch and Facebook, with alternate versions featuring audio descriptions and ASL streaming simultaneously on YouTube. You can choose your preferred platform to watch.
