Experience Animal Crossing’s Real-Life Aquarium Adventure Right at Home!
To celebrate the launch of the massive 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo is bringing back its real-life aquarium tour, returning to several U.S. aquariums that previously hosted the event, along with some exciting new locations, starting February 13. Attendees can look forward to a variety of Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed activities while exploring the diverse aquatic life at each venue.
Fans can expect a range of photo opportunities featuring aquatic backdrops with beloved characters from the game, including a debut standee of Kapp’n. Throughout the participating aquariums, signage will showcase exhibit descriptions from the ever-chatty museum curator, Blathers. There will also be kiosks where visitors with a Nintendo account can check in to earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points. Plus, QR codes scattered around the aquariums will allow guests to download Animal Crossing-themed mobile backgrounds, and on select days, they can snag special patches featuring game characters.
One of the most thrilling parts of the Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour is the merchandise and meet-and-greet opportunities. Each aquarium will offer New Horizons merchandise for sale (details on specific items are still under wraps), and on certain days at select locations, fans can meet the beloved canine musician K.K. Slider or the charming Resident Services assistant, Isabelle.
Participating aquariums are listed below:
The best part of the 2026 aquarium tour is that the event is included with general admission tickets, so visitors won’t need to spend any extra cash to enjoy the Animal Crossing festivities. Tickets can be purchased directly from each aquarium, with links available through Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour schedule.
