Jason Momoa Hints at Timothée Chalamet’s Incredible Performance in Dune 3: “You Haven’t Seen Anything Yet”
Timothée Chalamet, fresh off his Oscar nomination for Best Actor in Marty Supreme, is receiving high praise from his Dune co-star Jason Momoa for his performance in the upcoming sci-fi sequel directed by Denis Villeneuve.
“Wait until you see him in Dune 3,” Momoa shared enthusiastically. “It might be some of the best work I’ve ever seen from him. I’m serious. Record this interview, take note, I don’t care.”
Momoa will reprise his role as Duncan Idaho in Dune 3, despite the character’s fate in the first film, which wrapped filming last November.
In a conversation, Chalamet mentioned that he will be “playing older” and portraying a character shaped by years of leadership and the burdens that come with it. He returns as Paul Atreides in this installment, which adapts Frank Herbert’s novel Dune: Messiah.
“I don’t want to reveal too much. But I can say that Denis has been incredibly insightful about the challenges we face. Many of the creative discussions we had were really his vision and script development, which I had little influence over, but we were all aware of the hurdles in making a third film.”
Dune 3 is set to clash with Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, a matchup that Robert Downey Jr. has dubbed ‘Dunesday’.
The film also features a star-studded cast including Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, Josh Brolin, and Rebecca Ferguson.
