Nintendo to Release Quirky Talking Flower Game in March Following Alarmo

Nintendo has finally unveiled more details about its new Talking Flower, which was teased during a Nintendo Direct last September. This interactive toy, reminiscent of the Alarmo alarm clock, appears to be a charming companion for fans of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

As the name suggests, the Talking Flower will randomly share quirky phrases like “sometimes it’s nice to space out” and “is it weird for flowers to talk?” a few times each hour when left alone. You can also press a single button to hear random thoughts on demand, or hold it down to mute the toy temporarily. It features music and will support 11 languages at launch on March 12th, including English, Italian, and Japanese.

Preorders are now open through Nintendo’s online store and other retailers for $34.99.

Additionally, you can program the Talking Flower to greet you in the morning or bid you goodnight, with some phrases only activating at specific times. It has a built-in sensor to comment on room temperature and will verbally notify you when its batteries are low, rather than using LEDs or a screen.

In other flower-related news, Nintendo also dropped an overview trailer for the upcoming Switch 2 update for Mario Wonder, introducing a new power-up called the “bellabel flower,” set to release on March 26th.
