When is the release time for Highguard?
A release time for Highguard hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but the game’s Steam page and an upcoming launch day stream provide strong hints about when it will go live. Unfortunately, you can’t pre-order or pre-load this free-to-play first-person shooter, so you’ll need to keep an eye on the Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox storefronts until it appears. If you’re eager to “fight for possession of the Shieldbreaker,” here’s what you need to know about the expected release time and some additional launch details.
Highguard is set to launch on January 26 at 6 PM UTC, which translates to the following local times:
While this timing hasn’t been officially verified by the developers, the countdown on Highguard’s Steam page and its SteamDB entry suggest a 6 PM UTC release. Additionally, the team at Wildlight Entertainment will host a launch day showcase starting at the same time, featuring a “full gameplay deep dive, year one plans, and more.” This could be a great way to pass the time while you wait for the game to download.
Keep in mind that there’s no option to pre-load Highguard on any platform, so you’ll have to wait until it unlocks at 6 PM UTC to start your download. Currently, the game doesn’t even have a listing on the Xbox or PlayStation stores. If you’re planning to play on PC, make sure you have around 25GB of free space, and remember that Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 need to be enabled to run the game.
