Nintendo Switch Online Welcomes Virtual Boy Games This February: Check Out the Initial Lineup

Nintendo Switch Online is set to expand its library with a selection of new games for the Virtual Boy this February, and the official lineup has been revealed. Starting February 17, players can dive into titles like Galactic Pinball and Virtual Boy Wario Land, with additional games expected to roll out later in 2026.

The Virtual Boy recently marked its 30th anniversary. Although it faced mixed reviews upon release and ended up being Nintendo’s least successful console, a revamped version was announced during a recent Nintendo Direct. Gamers have two purchasing options for the accessory: the full version priced at $99.99 or a more affordable cardboard variant for $24.99. As with other nostalgic titles reintroduced for Nintendo Switch, access to the new Virtual Boy games will require a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

When the Virtual Boy library launches on February 17, it will feature the following games:

Additional titles will be added throughout the year, although specific release dates have yet to be confirmed. This includes two previously unreleased games, with the following lineup planned:

As with all titles in the NSO library, these upcoming Virtual Boy games will allow players to rewind gameplay after mistakes and customize controller layouts to fit their preferences. A feature coming later this year will enable players to change the tint of the games from the Virtual Boy’s signature red to other colors like white or green; to use this feature, players will need to remove the lens cover on the Virtual Boy.
