James Gunn Teases Martian Manhunter with Mysterious Superman Set Photo
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn recently dropped a mysterious social media post that might hint at the arrival of Martian Manhunter in the DC Universe.
In the post, Gunn shared several images of a Chocos-themed office (Chocos being the DC version of Oreos), likely taken during a marketing meeting, as suggested by the documents scattered on the table.
Chocos hold a special place in Martian Manhunter’s heart within DC lore, leading many to speculate that this could signal the shapeshifting alien’s debut in the DCU.
“IT’S THE MARTIAN COMING?!?!?!!” one fan exclaimed in the comments, while another noted, “Wait a second, are those the cookies that Martian Manhunter loves? Are we getting The Martian Manhunter in Man of Tomorrow????”
“If this ain’t a tease for Martian Manhunter, I don’t know what is,” another user chimed in.
However, some fans might end up disappointed, as a keen observer pointed out that this appears to be a set from Superman.
“Wait… the office Ultraman destroys in Superman?” another user questioned.
This isn’t the first time Gunn has stirred excitement with Chocos. Back in 2024, he shared a photo of Chocos packaging, which also sparked a flurry of comments about Martian Manhunter.
Next on the DCU slate is Supergirl, featuring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El alongside Jason Momoa’s Lobo. The film is set to hit theaters on June 26.
