A Comprehensive Guide to All Arc Raiders Augments and Their Functions
Arc Raiders Augments are essential components of your loadout, each offering additional backpack space for various items and unique perks if you find a high-quality one. Like much of the gear in Arc Raiders, you can scavenge or craft Augments and even enhance them to higher tiers. With three main types and multiple rarities for each, all influencing your inventory slots in different ways, it can be tricky to determine which Augment suits your playstyle best. To help you out, we’ve compiled everything you need to know about Augments in Arc Raiders, including a comprehensive list and details on the two new additions.
The latest update introduces two new Epic Augments: Tactical Mk. 3 (Revival) and Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper), part of the Headwinds chapter in the Arc Raiders’ Escalation expansion. Both are quite handy; the Tactical Survivor Augment comes with a built-in Defibrillator, allowing for free revives with a 4-minute cooldown, while the Looting Safekeeper Augment features a single Safe Pocket Slot that can hold any item, letting you stash a weapon to prevent loss if a round goes south. For more specifics on their stats, check the table below.
The primary function of an Augment is to enhance your inventory capacity by providing extra backpack slots and increasing your weight limit. You can find them through general looting, whether by searching containers or looting fallen players, and you can also discover blueprints to craft Augments. Depending on the type—Combat, Looting, or Tactical—you may gain additional Quick-Use slots for items, Safe Pocket slots for preserving items after death (excluding Arc Raiders weapons), and Augmented Slots for specific item categories. Augments also dictate the type of Shield you can equip, with all being compatible with a Light Shield, fewer with a Medium Shield, and even fewer with a Heavy Shield. Rare and Epic Augments come with perks that provide valuable benefits while you’re out in the field. Generally, Combat Augments prioritize Shield compatibility and combat advantages at the expense of inventory space, Looting Augments enhance inventory slots and weight limits but sacrifice Shield compatibility, and Tactical Augments offer more Quick-Use slots but have the smallest backpacks and average Shield compatibility. Ideally, you should carry one of each type to adapt your strategy during an Arc Raiders run—whether you’re taking down ARC, engaging other players, or just looting, make sure you have the right Augment for the task.

Additionally, there’s the Free Loadout Augment, which you receive when you choose a free loadout. It has a weight limit of 35, 14 Backpack Slots, and four Quick-Use Slots. While it’s not the best option and cannot be removed or swapped during a round, it’s likely you’ll only resort to it in the most desperate situations.
