Black Ops 7 Season 2 Update Reintroduces Titanfall’s Notorious Weapon

Treyarch is setting the standard for post-launch support in multiplayer gaming with the upcoming Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which promises a massive influx of new content, echoing the excitement of Season 1 from a couple of months back.

With the launch of Season 2 and the mid-season update, Season 2 Reloaded, players can look forward to nine new multiplayer maps, including the return of four beloved classics from earlier Black Ops titles. Here’s what to expect:

In addition to the nine maps, players will gain access to seven new modes and playlists, seven new weapons, a variety of attachments, fresh events featuring cosmetic rewards, and the long-awaited ranked play.

For those who appreciate a good FPS, especially fans of the Titanfall series, the notorious Smart Pistol is making its way into Black Ops 7 as the Lockshot scorestreak, which can be unlocked with 450 score. This sleek smart pistol can lock onto multiple targets, allowing for a single trigger pull to take out all locked enemies in rapid succession. When paired with overclock abilities that enhance targeting speed or allow for an extra lock, the Lockshot could become a formidable tool in the right hands.

And that’s just scratching the surface of multiplayer. In Endgame, players will encounter Guild Strikes, which introduce new high-difficulty zones featuring a Strike Boss and improved rewards, along with the Eagle Eye skill track that emphasizes increased critical damage.

In Zombies mode, players will venture to Mars for the fourth survival map, set in an ancient temple hidden beneath the planet’s surface. The new Cursed Survival mode incorporates a points system reminiscent of Black Ops 3, while the fan-favorite Starting Room mode from Black Ops 6 makes a comeback, where players find themselves permanently confined to the starting area.

Warzone is also getting a winter revamp, transforming Rebirth Island with a snowy landscape and introducing a new point of interest, along with various terrain and layout adjustments. The Ranked Play: Resurgence mode returns, alongside events like Infil Gas Explosions, featuring explosive gas bombs scattered across the map, and Snowstorm Gas, which envelops the island in toxic, blizzard-like conditions.
