Nvidia CEO Clarifies Stance on OpenAI, Dismisses Claims of Discontent
Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang has refuted claims of dissatisfaction with OpenAI, reaffirming the company’s intention to make a significant investment in the AI powerhouse. Back in September, Nvidia announced plans to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI, but recent rumors suggested that this deal might be in jeopardy. During a press conference in Taipei, Huang dismissed the notion of his unhappiness with OpenAI as “nonsense.” When questioned about the scale of Nvidia’s investment, he clarified, “No, nothing like that.”
Huang emphasized his commitment to OpenAI, stating:
> “We are going to make a huge investment in OpenAI. I believe in OpenAI, the work that they do is incredible, they are one of the most consequential companies of our time and I really love working with Sam,” referring to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
> “Sam is closing the round (of investment) and we will absolutely be involved,” Huang continued. “We will invest a great deal of money, probably the largest investment we’ve ever made.”
