Ikea Unveils Affordable Bluetooth Speaker Shaped Like a Purple Mouse
Ikea is back with another fun and budget-friendly wireless speaker following the launch of its $10 Kallsup Bluetooth speakers at CES 2026. Meet the Grejsimojs Portable Bluetooth speaker, a quirky little device designed to resemble a purple mouse, complete with a tail that doubles as a carrying strap. While it may not impress hardcore audiophiles, it’s perfect for casual listening.
Currently, the Grejsimojs speaker is available in the UK and Germany for £12.00 and €14.99, which translates to about $16 to $18 in the US. Although it’s not yet listed on the US Ikea site, it’s part of a new Grejsimojs collection aimed at kids, which also features a dog-shaped dimmable table lamp priced at $39.99. More items from this collection may be on the way.
The Grejsimojs speaker packs a 1.6-inch full-range driver that delivers up to 2W of sound. It boasts a battery life of up to 24 hours at half volume and charges via a USB-C port located on the bottom, though you’ll need to supply your own cable and power adapter. While it allows for wireless connection and syncing of multiple units for a fuller sound experience, it lacks advanced features like Spotify Tap and doesn’t support stereo audio separation between two speakers.
To ensure it’s safe for kids, the speaker includes a volume limit to protect hearing and features a plastic body with silicone feet that can be easily cleaned after messy play. However, it has an IP44 rating, meaning it can handle a few splashes but should be kept away from dust, sand, and any accidental dips in water.
