Massive Discounts on All Fallout Games on Steam—Play Them All to Prepare for Fallout 5!
While we might be waiting a while for Fallout 5 to drop, Bethesda has given PC gamers plenty to enjoy in the meantime: the entire Fallout series is currently on sale on Steam.
As noted, Steam’s Fallout Franchise Sale has slashed prices on every title in the series by up to 75%. There’s even a bundle that includes all the games along with every DLC ever released for just $77, which is a massive 68% off the regular price.
This bundle is a fantastic opportunity for fans of the popular Fallout TV show to jump into the games after the show’s impressive second season. However, if you’re looking to grab individual titles, they’re also available at great prices right now. I already own Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4, but I’ve never played the original games from the ’90s. Now, with both available for just $2.49, I have no excuse not to dive in.
On top of the sale, Bethesda seems eager to attract fans of the Fallout TV series into the gaming world. A new ad features Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus in the show, hanging out with Vault Boy. It’s a fun watch, whether you’re a fan of the show, the games, or both.
As for Fallout 5, the details are still pretty scarce. It’s likely to bring apocalyptic chaos to another major U.S. city, but beyond that, we’re left in the dark. Bethesda is currently focused on The Elder Scrolls 6, which also lacks a release date, but once that’s out of the way, Fallout 5 will likely take center stage.
Fallout co-creator Tim Cain has suggested that games could benefit from being more like toys, similar to Minecraft and Skyrim, emphasizing “freeform, goal-free playing.”
