In Helldivers 2, the Automatons have snatched the plans for Super Earth’s Star of Peace freedom beam, prompting players to march into Cyberstan to thwart their twisted ambitions.

Recently, the Super Earth government announced a test of its new liberation laser, targeting one of the Helldivers’ fiercest foes. While the Terminids, Illuminate, and Automatons remain a threat, a more urgent issue has arisen: the Automatons have taken control of the schematics for the Star of Peace, intending to weaponize it.

The Super Earth government warns, “In the wrong hands, this symbol of peace would become a weapon of total annihilation – a threat to freedom itself.” All Helldivers must now head to Cyberstan to stop the Automatons from crafting their own version of this peaceful superweapon and to “bring democracy to their door.”

To assist in liberating the planets en route to Cyberstan – and Cyberstan itself – Super Earth has provided the new “heavy-hitting” Bastion Tank, designed to “pancake the tin-plated tyrants.”

Today also marks the launch of the Helldivers 2 Siege Breakers Warbond, which includes a breaching hammer, particularly effective against tanks. However, with the emergence of a new faction hinted at in the Siege Breakers Warbond trailer, we must be ready for anything upon our arrival in Cyberstan.

The latest Helldivers 2 update introduces stealth missions and adjustments to suppressed weapons, allowing you to “bang bang less,” while Arrowhead is finally “ready to make the slim PC build default for all.”
