Following its recent delay, the new GTA 6 release date of November 19, 2026, is expected to hold firm this time, as Take-Two suggests in a recent financial report that “launch marketing” for the highly anticipated game will kick off this summer.

According to a recent financial report, Take-Two is addressing concerns about another potential delay for GTA 6.

“Our performance throughout Fiscal 2026 has been exceptional, and we are very optimistic as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which is set to be a landmark year for Take-Two and the entertainment industry, highlighted by the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, with Rockstar’s marketing campaign starting this summer,” the report states.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence, stating, “I feel good about it. Very good about it.”

Zelnick has previously expressed optimism about GTA 6, and it seems this time he’s particularly assured.

“Whenever you’re nearing marketing milestones, your confidence level is at its peak,” the CEO added.

In 2026, without new information or official updates, discussions surrounding GTA 6 and Rockstar have been marked by unusual events. Notably, an ongoing legal dispute is set to impact several developers who were let go over alleged leaks of critical information, with a labor group labeling it as union-busting.

Meanwhile, a boiler explosion occurred at Rockstar HQ last month. “Thanks to everyone who reached out with concern,” a spokesperson stated.

A terminally ill GTA 6 fan, given 6-12 months to live, has reportedly been connected with Rockstar for an early play session of the game.
