Nintendo has officially announced that the anticipated Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase will take place on February 5, 2026.

After last week’s speculation about the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, it’s confirmed, though fans hoping for new Mario or Zelda news might be left wanting. The showcase is set to air on Thursday, February 5 at 6am PT | 9am ET | 2pm GMT and will last approximately 30 minutes.

While Nintendo hasn’t revealed specific titles for this Direct, it will feature “upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games from Nintendo’s publishing and development partners.” A strong contender for the lineup is Elden Ring, which was initially slated for a Switch 2 release last year but was delayed for performance improvements after a lackluster showing at events. Additionally, given Square Enix’s history with Nintendo Directs, The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales could also make an appearance.

On the topic of Square Enix, it might finally be time for the Kingdom Hearts series to make its way to Nintendo platforms in a more fitting format, especially after the disappointing cloud versions on the original Switch—similar to what Capcom is doing with Resident Evil 7 and 8.

Capcom is likely to showcase a trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3, or Pragmata, and there’s a chance we could see ports of Monster Hunter Wilds or Onimusha: Way of the Sword. A port of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 seems like a no-brainer as well.

In summary, I’m bracing for a lineup filled with farming games and JRPGs, as is tradition.

As Nintendo Direct rumors circulate, the updated Splatoon Raiders trademark adds to the excitement.
