Alfie Allen is set to join the cast of the second season of Stephen King’s The Institute.

According to reports, Allen will portray Nolan Reeves, an eccentric European tech billionaire and one of the Institute’s financial backers with his own ambitious agenda.

The series, adapted from King’s 2019 novel, follows Luke Ellis, a young prodigy kidnapped in the dead of night and taken to a mysterious facility known as The Institute. Alongside other gifted children with telepathic and telekinetic abilities, they endure a series of perilous tests orchestrated by Julia Sigsby (Mary-Louise Parker). Meanwhile, Tim (Ben Barnes), a newcomer to the local police force, begins his own investigation into the enigmatic Institute.

Season 2 continues the story from where the first season ended, focusing on Luke, Tim, and their fellow survivors as they strive to expose the Institute’s dark secrets while evading a relentless group of assassins. The returning cast includes Simone Miller, Fionn Laird, Robert Joy, Arlen So, Jeff Fahey, and Hannah Galway.

Allen is widely recognized for his role as Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones and has recently completed filming for season 2 of Netflix’s Three Body Problem.

The first season of The Institute is currently available for streaming on MGM Plus, accessible through Prime Video.
