Caution advised: Nintendo’s “Nintendo Switch 2: Wii Remote” page likely a glitch, as the same controller appears for the outdated 3DS.

Nintendo has sparked some excitement (or perhaps just confusion) among fans with a seemingly erroneous support page for a nonexistent accessory – the “Nintendo Switch 2: Wii Remote.”

If you’re like many gamers, you have cherished memories of the Wii. As one of Nintendo’s most successful and nostalgic consoles, it’s hard not to appreciate the platform that brought us classics like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and the iconic Wii Sports.

So, the idea of a revival through the new Switch 2 would certainly be welcomed – but it seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Indeed, an official support page has appeared on Nintendo’s website for the nonexistent Switch 2: Wii Remote. However, clicking any of the links for this “Wii Remote” simply redirects you to the Nintendo Repair Center, rather than providing any specific details about the accessory.

The internet nearly exploded when someone shared a link to the “Nintendo Switch 2: Wii Remote” support article, highlighting that Nintendo’s support database seems to be experiencing some glitches.

But that’s not all. There’s also a page for a “Nintendo 3DS: Wii Remote,” which further suggests that this is likely just a website error. Still, fans are having fun with it, and it’s hard not to enjoy the chaos.

In response to the bizarre pages, one user joked, “Wii coming to NSO confirmed?” Another added, “I’d be all for it if they made them compatible.” Same here!

Many others expressed disbelief that this “Wii Remote” situation is real – and they’re probably right. As one commenter noted, “This doesn’t mean anything; they’re just having website issues.”

It would be pretty cool, though, wouldn’t it? A little throwback chaos (even if it’s not Thursday), with a revival of classic consoles like the Wii and 3DS… count me in.
