Facing the Queen in Arc Raiders is no small feat. This massive mechanical foe can easily overpower even the most skilled teams. In a bold move, one player decided to attempt a one-shot takedown of this six-legged terror, and the results are quite unexpected.
YouTuber Zeeb took on this challenge—purely for science, of course. Conventional weapons are no match for the Queen, as any that could would create serious balance issues in the game. But where there’s a will, there’s a way, and in this case, it involves a lot of fuel.
In a recent video, Zeeb set out to create a makeshift bomb using hundreds of fuel canisters—around 500, to be precise. Since explosive damage accumulates for each part of the Queen that takes a hit, and her health is estimated to be between 25,000 and 35,000, such a bomb might just do the trick.
The first hurdle was gathering all that fuel, which required a mix of in-game drops and purchases with shop limitations. After “16 hours I’m not getting back” spent collecting supplies, Zeeb finally had enough. The next challenge was positioning the Queen for the attack.
With her towering height, a ground-level explosion wouldn’t reach her, and the canisters wouldn’t stack no matter how many he dropped. Plus, he needed to stay safe while drawing her attention. Zeeb discovered a perfect hiding spot on Dam Battleground that would force her to kneel to laser him, bringing her closer to the blast.
Teaming up with two others, they set out for their first attempt, which was thwarted by other raiders. However, the second attempt went much smoother. They gathered all the fuel in one spot, drew the Queen’s attention, dodged her attacks, and ignited the pile as she leaned down. Kaboom!
The frame rate dipped, health and ammo were running low, but it seemed they might have succeeded. As the smoke cleared… no luck, but she was definitely weakened. Unfortunately, Zeeb was taken out before they could finish her off, but the mission to take down the Queen was deemed a success nonetheless.
So, can you one-shot the game’s most formidable enemy? Not quite—but if you’re daring enough, you can get hilariously close. The challenge is now on for others to see if they can do even better.
“We’ve heard your feedback”: Arc Raiders has reduced the Expedition requirement to 3 million coins and allows players to “catch up” on missed skill points from the first Expedition for just 300k each.
