New weapons always bring excitement in a Call of Duty game, but sometimes they can be a bit overpowered. The EGRT-17 assault rifle in Black Ops 7 is a prime example, currently standing out as the top weapon across all game modes.

This assault rifle merges the rapid firing rate of the Peacekeeper with the damage and range of the AK-27, solidifying its dominance in its category. It performs exceptionally well even without attachments, but with the right setup, you can eliminate its few weaknesses.

Here’s the build code for you to import into your game: A07-BMVTZ-R5L31. Just head to the loadout menu, select the Carbon 57, and click the gun icon next to the “create new build” button.

This setup enhances the EGRT-17’s long-range accuracy while maintaining solid handling and close-range effectiveness. With these attachments, this weapon will dominate anything in its path while still excelling at long-distance takedowns.

Start with the Redwell Shade-X Suppressor in the Muzzle slot to stabilize recoil and keep you off the minimap. Pair it with the 17.9″ EAM Planar Barrel, which boosts damage range and bullet velocity, and you’ll notice significant improvements at range with the EGRT-17.

To maintain stability, the Bowen Sentry Foregrip reduces horizontal recoil, making it easier to stay on target. The Frigate Control Stock enhances both vertical and horizontal recoil control, further increasing the EGRT-17’s steadiness.

Don’t overlook the weapon’s close-range capabilities; the Verto Flip Mag increases reload speed, ensuring you won’t find yourself in a tight spot. The EAM Capacitor Grip also improves overall ADS speed, which is always a plus.

To finish off the build, the 3MW Motion Strike Laser significantly enhances recoil stabilization and damage range. While the laser is visible in ADS, the EGRT-17’s quick time-to-kill makes it a non-issue. Finally, Buffer Springs will smooth out your recoil, rounding out this setup perfectly.

If you prefer not to use a laser, feel free to swap in an Optic of your choice. The EGRT-17’s iron sights are decent, so a scope isn’t necessary. You can also replace the Buffer Spring with MFS Heated Echo Rounds, the EGRT-17’s prestige attachment, which allows bullets to ricochet three times while boosting range and bullet velocity at the cost of some recoil.

Gunfighter is one of BO7’s best Wildcards, essential for equipping the EGRT-17 with the top attachments. You can choose any Field Upgrade that suits your playstyle, but the Scrambler is ideal for aggressive tactics on smaller maps.

For equipment, the Stim Shot is the best Tactical option. Since you’ll be constantly engaging with the EGRT-17, that health boost can be a lifesaver. Choose any Lethal you prefer, but Semtex is a reliable all-around choice.

For perks, start with Ghost in the first slot to stay off enemy radars. Fast Hands in the second slot will help counter the EGRT-17’s slower reload time, though you can swap it out if needed. Finally, Cold-Blooded will keep you off the grid and shield you from streaks.
