Kena 2 Shines Bright, Poised to Fill the Void Left by Horizon 3
During the first Sony State of Play of the year, Ember Labs unveiled Kena: Scars of Kosmora, an action-packed RPG that’s set to launch on PlayStation 5 and PC later this year.
The newly released trailer showcases this sequel to 2021’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and it looks fantastic.
In this exciting follow-up, Kena has evolved into a skilled Spirit Guide, embarking on a journey to the enigmatic island of Kosmora in search of a cure for her ailment and to reconnect with an old friend. However, she soon encounters a formidable corruption that shatters her staff. To survive, Kena must embrace a perilous and forgotten form of Spirit Guiding that allows her to manipulate the elements. Throughout her adventure, she will discover and nurture unique spirit companions, whose abilities she will harness to solve puzzles and take down foes with new elemental powers.
With Kena: Scars of Kosmora, Ember Labs has teamed up with PlayStation Studios, enabling them to create an “even larger world” filled with more diverse regions than the original game.
“We’re super excited to share more in the future and can’t wait for you to get your hands on what we’ve been crafting. The reception for Bridge of Spirits was humbling, and we hope to deliver on what everyone loved about the first game and more,” said Ember co-founder Josh Grier.
While a specific release date for Kena: Scars of Kosmora hasn’t been announced yet, it is expected to launch on PC and PS5 sometime this year.
