Ghost of Yōtei to Launch Free Co-Op DLC Next Month
Sucker Punch Productions made a splash at the February 2026 PlayStation State of Play by announcing the release date for Ghost of Yōtei Legends. This exciting new mode will be available as a free download for all Yōtei owners starting March 10.
“The fan response to Legends was one of the most rewarding parts of launching Ghost of Tsushima, and we’re thrilled to see the mode return for Ghost of Yōtei,” said Andrew Goldfarb, Sucker Punch’s head of communications. “We can’t wait for you all to dive in! We’ll be sharing regular updates on our social channels, so make sure to follow us for more about Ghost of Yōtei Legends as we approach March 10!”
In Ghost of Yōtei Legends, players can team up in groups of four to take on demonic versions of the main game’s villains, known as the Yōtei Six. You’ll have a variety of classes to choose from, each equipped with a katana and bow, but with unique combat styles that build on one of the fighting techniques Atsu can learn in Yōtei.
The game will feature several mission types at launch. One of these is Survival, where you and your team face waves of enemies while trying to control key points on the map. Maintaining control earns you blessings, while losing it results in curses, though details on what these states entail haven’t been revealed yet.
Additionally, there’s a story mode that offers a more intricate experience. In this mode, two players will work through 12 missions, and after every three successful missions, they will engage in a four-player raid-style attack against one of the Yōtei Six — the Oni, Spider, Snake, or Kitsune. Sucker Punch plans to introduce the remaining Yōtei Six in a free “ultimate raid” update set for April.
