Beast of Reincarnation to Launch This Summer from Game Freak

After its exciting reveal at last month’s Xbox Developer Direct, Game Freak’s upcoming action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, has officially set its release date for August 4. Gamers can look forward to diving into this title on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.

Beast of Reincarnation marks Game Freak’s venture into the AAA gaming space beyond the Pokémon universe. This “one-person, one-dog” action RPG is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan teeming with colossal monsters. We got an in-depth look at the game back in January, and it made another appearance during the recent PlayStation State of Play, where a new trailer confirmed its release date.

The two-minute trailer doesn’t reveal much new information, but it showcases plenty of gameplay featuring the main character, Emma, and her canine companion as they navigate through desolate environments. Expect to encounter massive creatures, remnants of industrial decay, and a soundtrack that evokes a bit of that Nier vibe.

Currently, Beast of Reincarnation stands as the first major AAA title with a summer launch date. It will be interesting to see how this holds up, especially with the State of Play highlighting other significant games set for release this year that still lack specific dates, including Control Resonant.
